Achievement in Art: The Collection of Mike and Dalia Engler

Mike and Dalia have built an extensive collection of artworks by internationally renowned artists; many of whom work within a modernist, reductive, or concrete-minimalist aesthetic.  In addition to paintings and drawings, the Englers also have a substantial collection of glass, sculpture, and photography. Included in the exhibition are works by Joseph Marioni, Agnes Martin, Florence Pierce, Sir Anthony Caro, Lino Tagliapietra, and Hiroshi Sugimoto among others.  Each of the artworks in this exhibition calls for close observation, contemplation, and the active participation of the viewer.

mini Sets: Hayden Pedigo

7:15, 8:00 and 8:45 PM
Hayden Pedigo is an Amarillo, TX native who began writing solo guitar music at the age of 16. When he developed his style of American Primitive/Experimental guitar playing, he recorded two albums working with well-known, avant-garde musicians from the 1970s. Hayden has received press from the likes of Texas Monthly (Greetings from Amarillo named 10 Best Texas Albums of 2017), fashion magazine Vogue and New York music magazine The Fader. His blend of open tuned acoustic guitars and ambient electronics has a sound completely on its own.
