 This artwork and poem was created by Ashley Ellis, a student in Amy Lovell's 7th grade class at Fannin M.S. Ms. Lovell tested language arts lesson plan off the Museum's web site as the basis for this prject in her classroom. | WELCOME TO TEACHERS CHOICE
Teacher's Choice is an on-line resource for teachers of all subject areas. Developed by the Amarillo Museum of Art, this link provides Middle and High School lesson plans based on the Museum's collection to supplement classroom teaching.
The Amarillo Museum of Art is committed to providing quality educational materials to teachers and students throughout the Texas Panhandle and beyond. It is well documented that using the arts in classroom curriculum can:
- develop critical thinking skills
- foster higher level learning
- reach different learning styles
