The ArtSmart outreach program includes art history lectures by Museum staff and museum-trained volunteers and related art activities for seniors living in assisted living centers. Currently, Bivins Memorial Nursing Home, Plum Creek, Ware Living Center, The Craig Nursing and Independent Living, The Texan Nursing and Rehab, The Arbors and Harrington Assisted Living Center, Childer's Place and the Seville Estates participate in the program.

The Art for Healing outreach program offers and expressive outlet with art making for those suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's related diseases. AMoA staff and museum-trained volunteers visit residents living in secured units, permitting hands on involvement in their own environment. Currently, the VA Hospital, Texan Nursing and Rehab, Country Club Nursing and Rehab, Park Central/WARE and the Craig Nursing and Independent Living Center participate in the program.
